CCL launches an on-line Student Satisfaction Survey
CCL aims to deliver a high quality experience and values students' feedback. Student surveys have previously been conducted in paper base format but in considering the environment and the increasing number of students now enrolled at the college, a more effective method is needed. Students are asked to complete an on-line survey via the College Virtual Learning site exploring aspects of their experience; including facilities and location, student admissions and services and the teaching staff.
To date the feedback has been positive and it is hoped that by continuing to listen to students the college will build on previous successes.

Course induction for our new students successfully took place on 10-12 May 2011. New students were shown around campus and had their bio-data collected for attendance purpose. Academic Principal, Karen Buckwell, welcomed our new students and introduced them to their chosen programmes as well as giving them a big welcome. Jason from our IT Department helped the students set up their school accounts and gave them a virtual tour of the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment). Student Welfare Officer, Daniel Usadel gave students a presentation which highlighted the new responsibilities that Tier 4 Student Visa Holders must be aware of the rules that all international students need to understand. To conclude the day, each student was provided with the reading materials and activities needed for the preparatory reading week that followed.
New Visa Criteria for international students will be implemented on the 21 April 2011. Click here to find out more about the new visa policy.
In response to UKBA's new student visa rules and to answer students' enquires, CCL organised two new visa policy briefing sessions on the afternoons of 11/04 and 14/04. All current students attended the visa briefing sessions and were made aware of the new changes as well as the potential impact these could have on them.Visa application criteria and international student regulations have changed under a new policy and it is vitally important that our students understand both their rights and responsibilities within the new laws. Eva and Vicki from Inno-ship International, an OSIC-registered immigration company were present at the briefings and also answered questions raised by the students.
